About

Proclaim God's worth creatively & uniquely through your gifts!

Sarah Joy took piano lessons for a few years starting at age 5, began playing the clarinet in band at age 7 in Papua, Indonesia, and switched to flute at age 9––the instrument she really wanted to play.

After moving to the U.S. for high school, she began taking private lessons with Kischa Moore in Matthews, NC. While attending Appalachian State University she studied flute under Dr. Nancy Schneeloch-Bingham and acquired a music minor along with her degree in Business Management.

Following college, she toted her flute around the world with her––to Haiti during her Peace Corps years, to Orlando, to Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and back to the U.S. in 2011, playing any chance given. Surprised by love, she was married on 12-12-12 and joined her husband in his home near Charlotte, NC.

Sarah Joy has played for weddings, musicals, and hundreds of worship services. Her purpose is to live her life so others will know God's worth, and to proclaim His worth creatively & uniquely through the arts in which she has been gifted. Her desire is to spur others on to discover God's worth and likewise, to proclaim it in their own unique ways.

What others have to say about Sarah Joy:
--------------------------------------------------
"Sarah Joy is not just a technically superior flutist; she is a true musician and one of the best improvisational musicians I have ever had the privilege to play with. Her musicianship goes beyond the notes to the emotional connection of great performance. Her gracious spirit flows through her music just as it does her human interaction."
- Rev. John Rallison, Journey of Life, Orlando FL
"You are so expressive!!!"
- Brittany, Lincolnton High School student

"I absolutely love [my flute lessons]. I think my favorite part would be whenever we are doing the exercises like the candle for the fundamentals."
- Emily, Bessemer City High School student

"[My daughter] thinks a lot of you as well as myself. You have been a great inspiration to her.
- Heather, student's mother, Bessemer City High School
